The Conference of Minority Transportation Officials – Jacksonville Chapter will be awarding two$2,000 scholarships and one $500 scholarship to the applicants that submit the best essay on transportation in America.
COMTO Mission
The mission of COMTO is to ensure a level playing field and maximum participation in the transportation industry for minority individuals, businesses and communities of color through advocacy, information sharing, training, education and professional development.
Requirements
- Write an essay on, “How will your future aspirations contribute to the growth of the transportation industry?” Your essay should be detailed enough for the committee to see your vision.
- Write a brief description/ bio about yourself.
- High school students must attach a college acceptance letter and their high school transcript with their GPA. College or University students must submit a current college transcript.
Qualifications
- High school students or College students with an interest in Transportation, Business, or Civil planning
- Minimum GPA 2.5
- Essay must be a minimum of 500 words and shall not exceed 2,000. The bio should be a description of yourself limited to one page to include a picture
- Student must be enrolled in a college in the State of Florida. Preference will be given to Duval County and minority students
