At the Savannah College of Art and Design, we prepare outstanding students - like the ones in your classroom - for professional, successful, creative careers. Help them achieve a premier art and design education by nominating these shining students for the SCAD Distinguished Scholars Award.
This award is for US$20,000 per year and is applied to tuition at any SCAD location - Atlanta and Savannah, Georgia; Hong Kong; or online via eLearning. To be considered, students must be recommended by a teacher, professor or counselor. The SCAD Distinguished Scholars Award is renewable annually for students who maintain a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.0.
With more specialized degree programs than any other nonprofit art and design university, SCAD champions talented students who will go on to shape the future of creative professions. Life at SCAD is engaging within and beyond the classroom, with a university experience that includes programs and activities to promote student interaction, leadership and community service.
Nominations and completed student application files, including transcript, official test scores, portfolio and résumé, must be received prior to March 1, 2016. We encourage you to nominate students who meet or exceed the following requirements:
• Minimum 1350 SAT combined math and critical reading score, or ACT composite score of at least 30
• GPA of 3.75 on a 4.0 scale
• Outstanding visual arts, performing arts, writing or riding capabilities
• Honors and awards from competitions, or other recognitions
• Leadership skills demonstrated through co-curricular or extracurricular involvement
To be considered, your nominee must complete all SCAD admission requirements, including transcript and portfolio submissions, prior to March 1, 2016. Students should apply online at scad.edu/apply. To nominate a student, please email the following information to [email protected]:
