The Jacksonville Asian American Alliance Scholarship is awarded to high school senior students who (1) have been accepted to an accredited four-year College or University, (2) are residents of Duval, Clay, Nassau, Baker, and St. John counties for at least 6 months, (3) have a 3.9 or higher weighted GPA, (4) have participated actively in community service, (5) are US legal residents and (6) must be of Asian descent.

The Mandarin Council of the JAX Chamber offers an annual scholarship. 2017 graduating seniors and students in their 1st or 2nd year of post-secondary school living in Mandarin are invited to participate. A one-year scholarship of $2,000 will be awarded to the student applicant that is chosen.

The Paxon Sing off Competition is a contest for students to perform their best rendition of our school song and show off their school spirit. The winning video will be featured daily on the morning announcements and asked to perform at a live event. Scholarship(s) will be awarded to High School Seniors and college students who have met the eligibility requirements and criteria listed below, and who are enrolled in an accredited U.S. post-secondary institution during the 2017-2018 school year. The number of scholarships and the dollar amount of each scholarship will be determined by the amount of funds that will be raised at the Jacksonville Urban League Golf Tournament scheduled to be held on April 17, 2017. Scholarship recipients will be selected by a committee appointed by the Jacksonville Urban League. ELIGIBILITY: · Student must be currently enrolled in an accredited U.S. post-secondary institution during the 2016-2017 school year. · Student must be a legal U.S. citizen and currently enrolled and attending an eligible high school within the counties of Duval, St. Johns, Nassau or Clay within the state of Florida or the counties of Camden or Glynn within the state of Georgia. · Student must be planning to enroll and will need to be accepted into an accredited U.S. post-secondary institution for the 2017-2018 school year to be eligible to receive the scholarship. · Student must be planning to pursue a degree (or an equivalent) at an accredited U.S. post-secondary institution during the 2017-2018 school year. · Student must have a minimum Grade Point Average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale. GPA cumulative from Grade 9 and committee must be provided with the student’s transcript from an authorized faculty member. Click here for application. To be considered for Florida American Legion Auxiliary Girls State, please fill out this attached form and give it to your Guidance Counselor before the selection interview with Auxiliary members. Selected applicants will be awarded an all-expense paid trip to Tallahassee, participate in events in the State Capitol and have an opportunity to earn three (3) hours of college credit.
To be eligible, you must have completed 11th grade by the end of this school year, have an un-weighted GPA of 3.2 and have at least one full semester remaining in your senior year.
