​Meet Paxon's School Counselors

​Dionne Clayton
Grades 9 &10: A - H
Grades 11 & 12: A - G

​Ms. Clayton has well over twenty years of counseling experience at the elementary, middle and high school levels with Duval County Public Schools.  In addition, she has taught at the college level and hopes to share those experiences with her students and parents.  Ms. Clayton believes in being involved, through community and student activities, which helps to build strong relationships and trust. In her spare time, she is a Mentor with Take Stock in Children and other professional organizations. She brings creativity, program planning and a high level of energy and excitement to the table. Ms. Clayton is truly happy to be an E-A-G-L-E!​


​Linda Bajalia (College Coordinator)

Mrs. Bajalia has worked in Duval County Public Schools as a teacher and a counselor for over twenty years and is very excited to be a Paxon Eagle. Mrs. Bajalia  enjoys going to her children’s softball and baseball games and cheering them on. In her spare time she enjoys watching college football (Go Gators) with her family, and they all enjoy doing outside activities such as bicycle riding, playing tennis and going to the beach.



Krystal Culpepper (IB Coordinator)

​Krystal Culpepper is currently the IB coordinator and counselor for juniors and seniors in Paxon's IB Diploma program. Mrs. Culpepper has been at Paxon since 2010 and she has worked with Duval County Public Schools as both a teacher and a counselor since 2003. During the 2016-17 school year, Mrs. Culpepper was awarded the Lucille Crysell Award by DCPS for Excellence in School Counseling. Mrs. Culpepper is also active with the Florida League of IB Schools (FLIBS) as a member of the College Relations committee and as the Diploma Programme Chair-elect for the 2017-2018 school year. In her spare time, Mrs. Culpepper enjoys reading, watching Korean Dramas, and spending time with her family and friends. Mrs. Culpepper looks forward to helping all of her students meet the HIGHEST EXPECTATIONS for the GREATEST POSSIBLE FUTURE.​

Michelle Mullen (Department Chair)

​Ms. Mullen is enjoying her ninth year as a Paxon Eagle, having previously worked as a counselor in Pennsylvania and California. Mrs. Mullen is a graduate of the University of Florida (Go Gators!) and the Pennsylvania State University (Go State!). In her free time, Mrs. Mullen enjoys traveling to see family and watching Gator football with her husband and son.​
